I am sick in bed now, and earlier today I thought: “oh, I am getting up and then I will go to my office and sort out the mess in my drawers!”
It cost me a lot of effort to lie back in the pillows and play a game before taking a nap.
It is easy to do that because to me, rest is as sacred as yoga and meditation. It is sacred because it gives me energy when I need it for actions. And those actions are sacred too. Everything I do to make life better is sacred.
So today, I rest and nourish myself with good food and green tea. Tomorrow, I might go downstairs and work in the office. Or not.
My body leads, as always, not my mind.
Besides, the mind is funny. It wants to do nothing when you have energy, and it wants to do something when you are completely depleted.
